Black History Month

We celebrate Black History Month in February to honor the achievements, contributions, and history of African Americans in the United States.

It originated in 1926, created by historian Carter G. Woodson to address the lack of Black history in public knowledge. The week was chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln. Over time, the celebration grew, and in 1976, it officially became Black History Month, honoring the achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout U.S.

Chinese Food & Culture

Food has a deep significance in Chinese culture and traditions.

During big gatherings, food symbolizes deeper meanings, such as prosperity, unity, and respect, with specific dishes representing these values. In everyday life and ceremonial contexts, food plays a vital role in fostering social ties, honoring ancestors, and expressing religious sentiments, highlighting its cultural importance in every aspect of Chinese life.

"Excellent value, always hot and tasty Chinese food. Service is fast, and the staff are very friendly. If you're in the mood for Chinese, don't hesitate. Our go-to is sesame chicken, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu."
